Korean-American singer Yoo Seung-joon, who was denied reentry to South Korea more than a year ago on suspicions that he obtained American citizenship to evade compulsory military service, has arrived today from the U.S. _ but definitely not with open arms.
The Justice Ministry said yesterday that his entry ban has been temporarily lifted so that he can attend the funeral of his fiancee’s father.
The period of his stay will be decided by the head of the airport’s immigration bureau after hearing how long Yoo needs to remain in the country to attend the funeral proceedings, the official said.
