Paraplegic - 1

Honey, you're listening to this one? This will be interesting for you. If the person you were engaged to marry had an accident and became paraplegic, would you go through with the marriage, or back out of it?

So, for the audience, would you please explain about the word 'paraplegic?'

Yeah. A paraplegic is a person who has been paralyzed from the neck down. Basically they can move their head but they have no bodily function of their parts from the neck down. They've actually had a split or a break in the spinal cord.

Yeah, the nerve system.

Yeah, so that their nerve system is now not functioning from their neck down. Well, it's an extreme form of disability, because when you think about it, you have no movement or function of your body from your neck down, you are totally, would be totally dependent on other people for everything, for your existence. So that would be a very serious situation. So, if you were in that, or if your wife-to-be was to be in that situation because of an accident, what would you do? You're engaged to be married and this is a real difficult, very difficult subject.

My answer is very simple. I don't know.

I don't know. Right. That's a good, honest answer.

But I am married, so I have my wife. So this is the reason why I don't know, I can't answer.
If you're already married and this was to your wife, not your fiancee but wife, most of us I guess would answer that. Well, we would certainly stick by our wives, because we love them. Honey, you're listening to this?
